GU2 is run under the guidance of the USSU President, Osama I Salih, and the USSU VP Societies, Jake Willis.
A committee of students elected on a yearly basis runs the station. If you would like to contact a particular committee member, just click on their name to drop them an e-mail.
Our station manager is responsible for the day-to-day running of the station. In their role they have to be able to know most aspects of the station, and if they don't know it, direct you to someone who will.
This year the job of station manager falls on James Bale. James has been with GU2 for two years already and thought it would be a good idea to take the helm this year. He aspires to someday be a presenter on either a county or national station, so that the whole country can hear his rather distinctive voice!

Our ASM is the managers right hand man. If the Manager requires help with a particular role, the ASM is on hand to help out where required. As part of their role they are also responsible for contact with the SRA (Student Radio Association).
This year our ASM is right hand girl Sarah Cooper. A final year Media Studies student who although might be small has a massive personality! You can hear her as the only female presence on the 4o7.
The treasurer is in charge of all our funds, and decides where they go and what needs to get paid. Our treasurer makes sure all our bills and licenses get paid on time, and uses the rest of the money left over to buy nice things for the station.
Lee-Anne Gough is our money queen this year, and with her in charge of the books we won't go into the red! Hopefully.

(Deputies: Adam Lodowski, Sam Watson)
Programme control is a crucial department in charge of all the shows on the station. The PC team are the people you go to if you would like a show slot, as they manage the schedule, and make sure there are no clashes. They also make sure all the shows and presenters are sticking to the rules, whether GU2's rules, or rules set by OfCom.
Our head of PC this year falls again to Phill Nathan; a seasoned programme controller who knows everything there is to know about OfCom and the rules of the station. If he knows it, so should you.
(Deputies: James Hall, Matthew Kensington)
The tech team are the people who fix the station when it breaks, and install all the new bits and pieces when they come in. They are one of the most important departments here at GU2, as without their constant help and assistance GU2 would fall to pieces!
This year our tech boss is Computer Science student John Sharpe. He knows his SATA from his IDE, his Phillips from his Flathead, and he knows how to solder too!

(Deputies: Matt Glasbey, Steven Salazar)
The music team are the people who decide what gets play-listed on our station. They are responsible for finding the next big hit and more often than not, get it spot on! This year Liam Conroy takes the lead of the music team, his endeavours so far have led him around the country going to free gigs to see the artists that we playlist, live.
(Deputy: Blake Anderson-James)
Show Production is the department in control of making you sound better on air. They also deal with all of the training for the new members to get them ready to join the station. Sam Tovey is our head of show production this year, so if you want to join GU2 or need some feedback on your show then drop him an email and he will be happy to help.

(Deputies: Adam Lodowski, Aaron Rush)
Marketing is critical for any society and is very important to us as well. Our marketing team work day and night to make sure we have the best possible branding, logos and posters promoting us to everyone. Dan Friar is the design wizard and head of marketing this year. Him and his team have a wealth of knowledge and experience in all things design, so if you need a show promoted or have an idea for the station, give him an email.
Like with all Radio Stations, GU2 plays adverts. Lana Peswani is our chief barterer always out scouting for new companies to advertise on air with us. If you would like to get an advert on air, email her and she'll be delighted to help you get a great sounding advert playing to the entire population on campus!

(Deputy: Jason Hough)
Leading on nicely from Advertising & Promotions, the sound department are in charge of all things audio, that isn't music. They make the adverts not only for external companies but for shows as well. Emma Armitage is in charge of our sound team and with Adobe Audition at hand, no jingle is too hard to make.
(Deputy: Sophie Smith)
News is something that we love at our station, having a live broadcast every week day at 5pm. Our news team is responsible for writing and reading out all our news on air. Former deputy Sophie Stokes has this year taken control of our news department and has made fantastic strides in getting us all the latest updates for the local area as soon as it happens.

(Deputy: Jonathan Pilborough)
In charge of this lovingly created website is our webmaster and Computer Scientist Andy Smith. He loves all things HTML and loves nothing more than to relax with some scripting language scattered all over his screen. Notice anything wrong with the website? Then drop Andy an email and he'll fix it in a flash!
(Deputy: Mehdy Vaezi)
GU2 likes to have fun, and what better way than to host events! You can often find us taking control of the Living Room on Friday nights while Flirt! is taking place so come downstairs and say hello. In charge of events this year is Lorna Salmon. She is responsible for the brilliant Core Crawl idea, along with many other events that we have DJed for. Interested in having us DJ your event, then drop Lorna a message!

Our press department is responsible for writing articles for The Stag campus newspaper as well as getting articles about us in the national press too. Richard Blackburn and his many pens are on hand to get press items written and sent to print.
Love sports? Sam Limbert certainly does! Sam is an avid Arsenal supporter, and along with that he hosts our biweekly sports shows to give you the most up to date results whether it be from football, or something from obscure sports quarterly. He is also responsible for having sports news items written for the 6pm bulletins on the 4o7 show.

Our street team are the voice of the station out and about on campus and in the local area. Utilised by the marketing department the street team are the face of the station telling you everything while out and about promoting us. Aimee took over this position in January 2011 so look out for her around campus!
We like nothing more than going out and having fun after a hard day of radio presenting! Jemma Slater is on hand to get us all out of the office and having fun on a pub crawl, adventure day, or a sit down meal! Got an idea for something fun for us all to do, send her an email with your idea, or talk to Jemma at our weekly meetings.
