ON AIR NOW

Now Playing: Out Of Control - Fenemenon
  • Jagger Swacked

No idea what Swacking is, but I think I'll play some Stones tonight. So I'm 50% correct.

Another live guest this week in the shape of Robb Peters, an upcoming UK hip-hop artist who has recently qualified for the National Final of the UK Live & Unsigned Competition. His performance in the Regional Final was a spectacle to behold, a blend of creativity, character and enticing unpredictability.

Six Degrees of Seperation is back too! This week we go from American acoustic artist Elliot Smith to Finnish operatic metal legends Nightwish.

I also have two songs about a snake I want to play.

  • An Unbiased Retrospective View on the Clyde Welly Throwing Gala of 1974

Another fine act to bring to you! This week its Mr Fynn! As the name suggests they are a four-piece with a female singer. A good bit of rock with some bite injected into it, they have also just got through to the national final of the Live & Unsigned Competition! In other words out of over 10 000 entries they have got down to the last 15.

This week I want to play some Radiohead, Wildhearts and there is a rumour that I am a Tom Waits fan.
If you want to chat to me on air then add studio@gu2.co.uk to your MSN's.
    Tonight 7-9pm on www.gu2.co.uk or 1350am/mw

  • I was naked when I wrote this, forgive me if it goes astray...

This Friday all I ask of you is to listen to my show when I will be presenting the astounding Lindsay West to you! This girl is so good that one of my friends who saw her before actually came back to Uni almost a week early to see her at Fahrenheit. So good that when discussing her with local musician and promoter Byron Johnston, we even got our diaries out to see who could lay claim to seeing her first (I won!)

    Other madness etc.

Don't forget to pop down to Channies to hear my 2 hour slot with Phill Nathan sandwiched between Elliot Friel's Indie Cindy show and the majesty of Decapz Bassment! Loads of prizes there too! All from 7-11pm.

  • I have someone on my show who's sirname is Rockett...

It's true! My guest is Carly Rockett, who will be playing a few tracks for your ears to enjoy. The Easter holidays are nearly over and so I have reached my last 3 hour holiday special before I occupy the crumby two hours that I previously did! Tonight I'll be making Six Degree's up as I go along,
I'll be revealing my live guests for the next 5 or so weeks and I have recently been listening to, thus you may just hear: Tom Petty, Martin Grech, The Jesus & Mary Chain, Green Day, Carcass, some more Salsa and obviously Tom Waits.

So tune in from 7 til 10 right here. My love is your dub.

  • My Arms Ain't Big Enough For The Both Of Us...

This week I'll finally be letting you hear the fabled Venga Boys Interview! I also have live sessions from Andrew Chart (definately) and Andy Wilson-Taylor (possibly). First person to make a witty remark about the number of Andrews/Andys wins my lifelong hatred. Also lots of fine fine music from all over the place. I imagine there will be some Tom Petty, Grant Cox and Psyrock.

To listen, bumble along to here

  • The Holiday Special of The Andy Vale Audio Experience

It is well known that when my show is off air some of you become emotionally unstable, intrinsically void and come out in nasty rashes. To combat this I will be bringing you my show from 7 to 10pm every Friday over the holidays! All the usual grand features will be in attendance along with the best music known to man. Also this week I'll be having a special guest in the shape of GU2 favourite JJMD, who will be providing us with live music, an Australian accent and he'll also have to tell a joke.

    To listen, go here

  • There's only one Dukla Prague!

This evening Andy Vale will be taking to the airwaves in his usual form. We will not be having a washing machine theme, however 6 degrees will be going from Rita Hayworth to Bob Dole via Juande Ramos! All that plus some blues, country and whatever else I desire from the 21st century.

    I think you're all special.

  • Tune In To Receive A Free Aural Massage...

For those of you who aren't going to be out playing golf between 7 and 9 this evening then may I invite you to listen to the show tonight. No guests or interviews this week (as far as I know...) so just me to relax, arouse and incredibalise you. As usual I'll have some top rate sounds from the 20th century along with a sprinkling of some top quality local talent. Six degree's will be put together as I go along tonight. I'm a risk taker, listen in to see me make my magic or make a flump out of myself. I'm hotly tipped to play Bobby Womack, Bjork and MeatLoaf.

  • The Joys of the Cochlea...

Friday evening comes but once a week, so cancel whatever planned events you had, sit in your favourite armchair, pour yourself a warming brew and listen to tonights show between 7-9pm. This week we go from Eminem to REM in 6 degree's. I've also got the last of 3 interviews with artists in Sundays Live and Unsigned Competition as I present an astounding local talent to you in the form of Elmor. Of course I'll also be bringing you the best in 20th century music from whichever genres have been tickling me of late (Ray Charles, Faith No More and Bjork are strongly rumoured to be appearing).

If you missed my guests over the last two weeks, just click to listen to my chat with Wildstar and my interview plus studio session with JJMD.
