Mercedes has lived in Brighton her entire life. Although she was incredibly fond of her home town, she decided to leave the vibrant city in order to pursue her dream of living in sunny Florida. Unfortunately, she seems to have gotten a little lost along the way and has found herself here at The University of Surrey instead!
Since her arrival in Guildford, she has discovered a love for overpriced coffee bars, varsity jock jackets, awful US reality shows, pop tarts and yes, she has become a cheerleader. Therefore, it would appear that she is still intent upon living her American dream.
When Mercedes isn't cheerleading or presenting on GU2, you can catch her pondering over the works of Shakespeare and Byron (which she'd secretly love to transfigure into Harry Potter books) because yet another English Literature student has landed here at GU2!
